Hi,

My computer monitor is randomly becoming black due to the graphics card.
When I am forced to switch of the computer and restart, windows says there is a graphics card error.

The question is the following:
Can the graphics card in a laptop be replaced?
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V2045 which is 4 years old.

The answer will be useful to see if I could replace it or I will need to buy a new laptop.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.
I will take the laptop to the workshop.

I already took it once. They cleaned it to remove dust, I formatted the computer, installed the latest drivers.

I do not know what else to do.

I also tried checking with a video card stability test. It confirmed that I had a problem with the video card.

Thanks for your reply.

The only way to do anything with a laptop GPU is to buy an external enclosure that uses the USB port to connect. These cost anywhere from $200 to $600. Then you have to buy the card itself.
