Hello,
I have a question in regards to my overclocking the fx 6100. I have the gigabyte 990fxa ud5 and overclocked my fx to 4.43ghz. In the bios i put the vcore to 1.48. I have also overclocked my RAM to 1866 at 1.65. Now when i ran prime 95 my vcore goes crazy- its jumping from 1.48 to 1.66? Isnt that a little too high? My cpu temps dont go higher then 58C and this was for good one hour. System does seem stable but im a little iffy about the vcore. After running prime 95 i played a little masseffect 2 and my vcore pretty much stayed at 1.55. Again thats a little high i think espically since i have set my vcore to 1.48 in the bios.
Ive also noticed that say if i were to run cpuz my vcore will jump to 1.48 then 1.55 then return back to 1.12 which is my stable vcore when im not doing anything. SO why is my vcore jumping tht high?
I do have coolnquiet disable as well as c6 and c1e disabled since i had to do disable them before overclocking.
My system specs are:
gigabyte 990fxa-ud5
PSU 550W
amd saphire 6870
amd fx 6100
patriot 8 gb RAM @ 1866

did you adjust LLC in your bios settings, this is supposed to prevent vdroop, but it may help stabilize the system so it doesn't spike too high. Or you have your LLC set too high and should adjust it down.
