Erasing old hard drive

Hi everyone. I was wondering what method I should use to completely delete my old primary hard drive. I have no use for it any longer and could use the extra money so I just want to wipe it clean, making it impossible to recover any info, and sell it. I know there is software you can buy for this, but I'm looking for the best available method for free. Also, I want to make sure that after everything is deleted, it is able to stay as NTFS and act as a primary hard drive for someone else if needed. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

There are two, free, easy to use tools that will allow you to do just that:

1. Piriform's CCleaner
2. Darik's Boot and Nuke

Use with care as these will wipe you HHD clean if used correctly. Check my post on these:
