I'm thinking about buying a new motherboard and I'm kind of wondering on what brand and kind.

M using a q6600 o c ~3.0G
And o c z 10666 DD R 3 Me ms

Been looking around a bit and it seems to me there is very few using DD R 3 so I'm also thinking about going back to DD R 2 ?! Should I ?

What are your reasons for upgrading your motherboard? I do not think it is economical to be getting a new one for socket 775.

My question as well...is there something your old board is not doing for you? Why the need for the upgrade?

Unless you are upgrading to a new AM3, LGA1156 or LGA1366 CPU, save your cash and stick with your current motherboard.

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

You are using an old socket, so, upgrade your mobo and RAM don't have sense at this time only will be a waste of money.

IMO, you can build a solid i5 or AM3 rig with $1000.
