5870 crossfire

Hi guys, I know this is an early question but currently I have a 5870.

I have a EVGA X58 sli le mobo and I can have up to 3 graphics cards. I started thinking and I thought when the 5870x2 comes out could I crossfire it to the 5870 and get 3x crossfire?

I want to do this because if I use 3 graphics cards I can't use my fatal1ty sound card that I ordered becasue the graphics card would go over the slot for the sound card.

YES, you can! but i suggest since you gonna go big time, then you might as well do it n a big time way, sell your single 5870
and buy Two 5870 X2. With that gaming performance you can play games in a very high resolution and at the same time
using your fatal1ty sound card.

What you'll get?.. Best of both worlds.. an awesome sound card and a awesome video card.
Just make sure your PSU can keep up to the needs of your system. If you may ask how many watts would a Two 5870 X2
will need? Well, a 1000 Watt, P80 certified psu is enough.

I have a corsair 1000W

but I just heard that it will be called the 5970

does that make it any different?

and also how can I sell my 5870 for a good price?

It depends on your area, if your area has a local buy and sell listings that you can post to for a very cheap price,
it will help you a lot on selling your video card if not, you can post it on ebay.
The price?.. Though it will be a 2nd hand item, usually depending on the longevity of the usage but since its a newly
released video card from ATi, you can sell it 25-45 percent less than the price you originally bought it.

yes you can, as 5870x2 have 2 core: you do a single crossfire with those and voila

Yes Dude you can, You can even CorssFireX three 5870 X2! But that will
will require at least 1200 watt PSU or higher.

WOW why dont you buy another computer and install a card into each one and then you can play the same game on two computers all at the same time and you would only have to sli your thumbs for reasons unknown to me. I would really like to see the pictures of this infamous tri 5870 computer that you so obviously will never build ! Why do you need quad 5870's YOU DONT what game are you playing !
