What is biostar core unlocking? ( please help )

i have a biostar 880g mobo, what exactly is biostar core unlocking in the bios? it is currently disabled

if you have one of the amd chips the has 'hidden'cores then it allows you to attempt unlocking them and using them, I have a triplecore X3 435 I unlocked and use as a quad successfully, but be forewarned, you are not guaranteed your own chip will function well once unlocked, you may have to relock it
and just overclock
