Hey, I've been using an AMD 6950 2GB for over a year now. It has worked extremely well and is the best card I've ever had. However, with all of the new games coming out lately I'm looking for a small fps boost. The only problem is that I have absolutely ZERO experience with overclocking anything. I really don't know where to start, or how much to overclock it. I have also heard about some 6950s that can be flashed to a 6970; so that could be an option since I have one of the original 6950 cards. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, is 50 degrees normal at 25% fan speed while browsing the internet a little high? I was a little concerned, but the temperature only goes up to about 72 while playing Skyrim completely maxed out with graphics mods.

Yep your temps look perfectly normal to me and it really depends on case airflow.
I would start with MSI Afterburner if you're a beginner.
Playing around with bios flashing is not a good idea until you're comfortable with Afterburner and adjusting some features there first.
Google your card model and read up on other peoples experiences and advice.
