Connected through 1394 ethernet adapter but no internet

Hi everyone . I am connected through my ethernet 1394 adapter on XP but can't connect to the internet through explorer ?

Check for related errors in device manager & event viewer.

Might also run ipconfig (command prompt) to release, flush, renew dns cache.

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /? - will display all ipconfig options.

The 1394 is not an ethernet adapter, it's a firewire port. Need more details about how you are connected and to what. Router? Modem? Did this work before? Did you check with your ISP already?
