Tcase Temp question!

Hello, I have an intel i5 2500k overclocked to 4.4ghz. I used BF3 to test my temps in a "real world" scenario. My temps never go above 60 degrees Celsius. During prime95 my temps were always in the 70s(I know this is a super stress test) My question is I don't really understand Tcase temps. For my i5 it says 72.6 degrees Celsius is its max. If my core temps are under 60 degrees at 4.4ghz during an intense game should I be worried?

Those temps are just fine. :sol:

I believe to case is the CPU temperature, and 72.6C is the maximum safe 24/7 operating temp. For 24/7 though, I would keep mid 60s though. TJMax is when the CPU shuts off, so you are not anywhere close to the CPU shutting itself off or thermal throttling.

That's just fine, you can still go up if you want, mine is also i5 2500K overclocked at 4.7 GHZ idle temp 35-38 deg Celsius at full load running prime95 it goes only 55-60 deg celsius and I'm using Cooler Master hyper 212 Plus CPU cooler.
