Good DX11 gaming system?

I've decided to put this system together, and I'm aware that Intel is faster, but I;m going with AMD this time:


CPU: AMD Phenom x4 965 Black Edition @ 3.4GHz

RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Kit (2x2GB) G-Skill Ripjaws

MOBO: Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P

HARD DRIVE: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB x2 RAID 0

GPU: XFX ATI Radeon 5870

DRIVE: Pioneer DVD-RW 218

PSU: Corsair HX 750w (modular)

CASE: NZXT Tempest

MONITOR: 22" LG 2252TQ-PF

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium OEM 64-bit

Id go with 850watt or higher and also I'd get a different screen.

Why 850w? I'd prefer to jack up AA at 1680x1050 rather than play at 1920x1080 with that 5870 and no AA/AF.

Dont get a 965, get a 955 and up the multiplier by 1, voila free 965. A 750HX is plenty for 2 5870s, they are quite power efficient.

Because with a 850w or higher. You can overclock and maybe later down the road Xfire your 5870

Even if you can overclock with a 750 you dont want your PSU running at it's max all the time.

2 5870s draw 561 from the wall, assuming 80+ silver level efficiency of 85% thats only 477 watts being delivered leaving plenty for a 125 watt CPU and overclocking especially on a good 750 watt PSU like the 750HX.

I won't be overclocking. Just might add a cooler just in case. 750 is enough for that. And if the 5870 gets old in a year or two, I'll build another new system.
