Board and CPU won't work together.

I have an ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe and the Phenom 64 9750. The system was working great until a few weeks ago, I took it to my local IT shop where the parts were bought from to have the components checked as they are still under warranty. The board itself had gone and was replaced by ASUS but when the techs got it back and put the 9750 back on the system it would not boot, they tried another CPU and it works fine (the test CPU was a dual core processor), they also put my CPU onto another board and it works fine (the test board was a gigabyte AM2 board). Anyone have any ideas why the CPU is not recognized on the M3A32? The BIOS was also flashed to the most current version.

Could possibly be the power supply or the MB has weak/defective voltage regulators not supplying enough 12v to run the Quad CPU properly.
