Problem with docking station (port replicator)

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my Sony Vaio PCG-GRT250P laptop. Whenever I
hook the laptop up to the docking station/port replicator the computer
does not POST. I see the Vaio splash screen with the Intel graphic on
it but the computer never POSTS; it shuts off after about 10 seconds.
When the laptop is not plugged in it boots up fine.

I've checked Sony's site for any known issues but it's been useless so
far. Any ideas what could be causing the problem? I'm sure I'm
attaching it correctly and I know I'm using the port replicator Sony
created specifically for my model laptop. Any advice would be greatly
appreciated, thanks.
