my spec:
processor: intel dual core 2.5ghz e5200
motherboard: gigabye ga-g31m-es2l
hard disk: 320gb sata2 16mb
dvd/rom/whatever: SATA LG DVDX22 DL
ram: ceon 2gb ddr2 800mhz
psu: EzCool 300w (i think it's generic)

my computer has been running for about half a year well with this spec, playing light games like COD1

i want to upgrade my graphic card, iv'e read HD4670 and HD4650 are low power consumpting cards for their performance.
do you think my computer will run well with HD4670? with HD4650 GDDR3?
advices please ;)

System Requirements
–400 Watt or greater power supply (550 Watt for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode) is recommended

from sapphire's site on HD4670
doesn't that mean it takes power from psu?

so?
if it connects to the motherboard, it means that even weak psu like ezcool 300w can handle it?

no, it means it just doesnt take power from a dedicated 6/8pin pci-express connector. your psu will either blow instantly or blow later (prob'ly taking cpu, mobo, ram, gpu with it) if you use a powrsucking gpu...

sorry i still dont get it
so if it doesnt get power from dedicated 6/8pin pci-express connector, that means that using the HD4670 with my spec, including my ezcool 300w would be fine?

If u want to keep your generic PSU then it can handle a 4670, but, for safety i suggest u to buy a higher PSu like corsair, antec, ocz, silverstone with minimum of 550W... :)
U don't want u to regret it later... :)
PSU is the most important part of your system.
