I am on a strict bugdet and i am building a gaming computer. i am trying to deside on many things, AMD or Intel. i5, i7,C2D E8400 or C2Q Q8400 for intel or AM3 PhenomII 810 or AthlonII 550. I am also looking for a mother board for this system i want it to be Crossfire or SLI enabled. have looked at Asus P5Q Pro Turbo for this job but havent looked at anything else. i am thinking around 4gb of ram and a 500gb hard drive. i already have a monitor and i think that i am going with the collermaster elite 335 with a 600watt PSU. i am not to worried about the graphcis card at the moment because i have an old GF8600GT that i can use until i have desided what to use in the long run. Any advise would be great.
Obviously you haven't see the new 1156 socket mobo's. You'd be surprised

No reason to throw away money on the i7, just get an i5 setup with SLI or Crossfire and you won't be disapointed. Hell, you could even get away with a socket 775 setup with SLI or Crossfire although it's just too old to recommend...
FYI, if your going to use SLI or Crossfire the least bit properly, you don't want to be stuck with a low end cpu, just saying... Keep it in mind it actually scales off a better cpu at higher resolutions...
