My computer will not recognize me as the administrator i cant do anything why?

I show that I am set up as the administrator however, I have to log out and log into the Administrator (domain) account to make changes to my computer. XP Pro.

If you are on a domain, your local account could be controlled by policies. Make sure you go over the different account rights that were setup, and check group policy settings.

There are differences between a domain admin account and a local admin account, you can have many combinations of rights.
