So Im in the market for a new GPU i was thinking a radeon 4670 or maybe a 4850 but I'm wondering about my processor.

I have an AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 4000+ 2.1 ghz (also running 3 gigs of ram)

Is this thing garbage?? is there any point spending the cash on a 4850 or will my processor limit the card? Am I better off just getting the 4670??

What resolution will you be playing at? If its a socket AM2 motherboard you may be able to get a cheap CPU upgrade and significantly boost its performance.

I don't think you need to worry about the CPU.
