Getting sick of trying to get a HD 5870

I have been trying to snag one for 2 weeks now and I almost had 1 the other night but didn't get through the buy process fast enough. I am getting tired of camping the newegg board and hitting refresh over and over.

I am building a I7 860 rig but I was thinking about switching it to a I7 920 and cross fire 2 cards instead of waiting for that darn card to be in stock again.

Is there anything close to the speed of the 5870 cross fired?

either you can wait, or you can crossfire two 4890s for more performance (than a single 5870) and similar price (aprox. $390).

Any suggestions? I have tried Newegg, Tigerdirect & Amazon so far and they are all sold out. The only places I can find it in stock are places where IDK if I want to give my credit card info to.

Thanks. I will give it another week to try to find a 5870 but this will give me something to fall back on.

Except on release they were easier to get for some odd reason.

I would have picked one up then but I didn't have the cash at that time.

Also, I think you were the one that beat my clicks to get that sapphire card because I saw you post about it shortly after it sold out
