Spreading paste? cpu AND heatsink

Hello,

I know thermal paste has been flogged to death on here BUT...

Putting together my first build this weekend and wondered ..

I have a gd70 mobo with 955be and sunbeam core contact cpu cooler.... do I put paste on the cpu OR the heatsink OR both?

just a quick one. The links great but it doesnt tell me if i need to apply thermal paste to both or just one....

Anyone else??

The link shows them just putting two small lines of thermal paste on the HSF. You'll get too much if you install it on both surfaces. Remember, with thermal paste that "less is more". You only want a VERY thin application.
