I have downloaded cpu-z to check the actual cpu frequency on my i7-860. However, it is ramped down and currently running an 136,7*9 = 1230 Mhz.

Is there any programs i can use to "provoke" my cpu to work at high loads and ramp up to maks speed?

Hi Sondrol1977.... good year ;)

Prime95 is a good tool. It will load up each core to 100%. Please be sure your cooling is adequate. Download from: http://majorgeeks.com/Prime95_d4363.html

like johnny said, prime 95 will "provoke" the cpu to run the cpu at stock or higher GHz.
