are you overclocking any? what are your temps like? how is the ventilation inside of your case/ do you have case fans? are you running stock heatsink on your processor or an aftermarket one?

you should check your video card temps with gpu-z..

This is a known problem for Far Cry 2. The solution seems to be switch to directx 9.

Somehow I feel that FarCry2 is harder on video cards than Crysis. You also only have a card with 512 video memory so you'll have to turn down your settings, not only in the CCC but in the game itself. Also manually set your fan speed to 37% in the over drive section of the CCC. This will help keep the card running a constant temperature vs waiting for the card to hit 75c before the fan spins up.

update your video drivers and the direct x. get rivatunner for the video card for controlling the speed of the fan, for cooling purpose. I had the same issues. oh and get the patch for far cry 2. known bug in just the dvd. bad programming hence the patch, fix afterwards.

The game does an auto update when it starts, provided it's the machine is hooked to the net. And you can't run the game after first install until it's hooked to the net.

guys, thanx for the comments but my settings on far cry 2 are all maxed out with dx10 switched on and i am running the game at 70-60 fps, also my graphics card is not hot at all at reaches 59 degress when at full load!!!!!

i am probly thinkin the problem is that far cry 2 may need to be patched up, as other people have been having this issue as well.
