Building a new water-cooling system sometime in the near future, and I was wondering if there is any 'clear' blood red tubing or if not, erm, blood red distilled water (if that even exists..?)? Because I've heard that coolant is actually a bad choice compared to distilled water, so I was just wondering if I could get the same effects I originally wanted, but using distilled water. Thanks :)

Don't mean to offend, but I requested CLEAR blood red tubing OR blood red distilled water (if that even exists)

I know this is OT, but I have to ask... Am I the only person who initially thought the OP was having troubles watching porn when you saw the title "Red Tubing?"

On another note, frozencpu.com has dark red tubing where alvine linked. Or, maybe you can just use dye? Does food coloring work?

I had a bit of a laugh too when I typed that into the EK website hehe xD But anyway, would the dye affect the distilled water in any way apart from dying it? Probably a stupid question but I have to ask.

I really have no idea if it's ok to just add dye to the water for a water cooling system. I've never tried water cooling before. Have thought about it for years, and looked into a few times, but never got far.

I've been thinking about it for more than a year now, but never really got the time or the money to look into it

Apologies for posting in a nearly 2 week old thread, but if I'm not mistaken, tubing is porous right? So if I were to dye some tubes red, wouldn't the dye eventually "leech" into the insides of the tubes, or lose their colour for that matter?

i doubt it would leech into the tubes. the surface is porous like swiss cheese and a you can not see through swiss cheese if it is cut thick enough.

since the tubing won't be in direct sunlight or go through a washing machine, i also doubt it would fade very much.

Ah ok thanks. I like your analogy there with the swiss cheese :p
