A friend who works in graphics and video would like me to build a rendering workstation with 4 physical cores.

AMD now offers CPUs with six and eight cores. If I used 4 CPUs which had eight cores that would mean he would have 32 cores to render graphics.

But as far as I can determine, Windows 7 will only support 2 physical CPUs (the number of cores doesn't matter).

Yes, I know I could install server software but the client's rendering software is not designed to run on a server, only a workstation.

So how do I build a 4 CPU / 32 core system and run Windows 7 as the OS?

Thanks.
