You can usually connect a SATA hard disk to a SAS controller if you buy the correct cables. On the other hand, you can't connect a SAS drive like the Seagate Cheetah 15K to a SATA controller (which I believe is what you wanted to know). | Report abuse geofelt September 9, 2011 3:05:21 AM You may not want a 15k drive for editing. A 15k drive is very good on random access, but higher density 1tb drives will probably be better in sequential performance for editing. | Report abuse Ask the community Publish Tom's Hardware>Forum>Storage>Cheeta 15k seagate hard drive video editing> Related ressources: ForumPro 3D/2D Artist's Build ForumBuilding a System for 1.5k € that is able to stream 720/1080p ForumHard drive setup for HD video editing Forum36GB 15K MAXTOR OR 136GB 10K SEAGATE AS OS ForumSeagate or WD HD ForumNew Build for Photo Editing Secondary Gaming Unit 1.5k 2k budget Forumwant to buy a new harddrive tommorow ForumNew Rig, Demanding Needs!
