CPU Upgrade

Current CPU: Athlon II X2 5600
GPU: 4850
Memory: 4GB DDR2 800 G. Skill
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 sb700

I'm thinking about upgrading my CPU. Usage is mostly browsing and mild gaming (L4D2 mostly).

I have a budget of somewhere between $100 and $150.

Would I be better off with a Phenom II X2 550 or a Phenom II X4 630? Or should I be looking at something else, like the X3 720?

Just looking for general advice of what would give me the best performance boost, balanced between gaming and everyday usage (with price in consideration).

I would go with which ever one is cheapest out of the Athlon II X4 630 or Phenom II X3 720.

Thanks. You think I'll see a boost in gaming performance with either one? My 5600 seems to be chugging lately.

Thanks. Looks like the 720 is quite a bit better for gaming. I hope my video card won't be a bottleneck.
