After weeks of BSODs, restarts, freezes, and no solution from Patriot memory I finally returned my Patriot Wildfire.

Reading through the forums and I read that the SF-2200 controller had problems and that is what the Wildfire had. Now I'm looking to get another one. In another two weeks.

I see that the they have the updated controller SF-2281, does this fix this problem?

here are the ones i'm looking at:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submi...|20-139-601^20-139-601-TS%2C20-139-599^20-139-599-TS%2C20-226-236^20-226-236-TS%2C20-220-603^20-220-603-TS%2C20-226-225^20-226-225-TS

I'm not sure what the difference is between the two mushkins and the two Kingston Hyper X's, except the price they look the same.

I really leaning towards the Kingston one.

Any reason why you aren't interested in the Vertex III?
I can't think of a single reason not to go with the Vertex III, unless you'd rather go with Intel for reliability.

Just reading through reviews over the internet, seems that a lot of people are having problems with it. I ignored the reviews on Wildfire and had a lot of problems with it.
What is the advantage of buying Vertex III over the Hyper X?
