Building new PC

Hello,
I am about to build a PC for the first time, and the only thing i have yet to learn (if any) is to format a brand new hard drive, the key thing is can i do it without another computer
Can Windows 7 format it for me? or do i have to find someone with a SATA hook up and format it

i have seen you can format a hard drive from the Win7 install window...but do i first have to format it to NTFS on a different pc first?

If you are going to install Windows 7 on the new drive then you don't have to do anything in advance. Windows will automatically format the drive during the installation process.

Thank you Dereck47, I have search for quite a while on google looking for that one answer, I know its noobish but i thought someone somewhere would asked the same
