I reinstalled the operating system on a buddy's Dell 4550 and then promptly broke the disk... I would like to make a system image disk for him or at the very least another install disk.

First: where do I find a download for XP Home with SP3 already integrated?
Second: Is there a way in XP to create a system recovery disk?

Thanks for the link. I installed and tried to use that back up system but it doesn't support CD-ROM back up. Just a 3.5 floppy and I don't have any of those. I can get them but just wanted a CD to give him to replace the one I got.

Check out Macrium - May have to have 2nd disk to backup to, (not sure), but you could then burn the backup to CDRW device.

I don't think Macrium is what I'm looking for... How about a link to a place I can download an installation disk to replace the one I broke. He has a external hard drive that I can back up his system with...
