Not having the money to build a completely new PC, I decided to buy just a new video card instead that will last me another year or so. I got a killer deal on an ATI HD 4890. I currently have an nVidia 8800 GTX installed on my computer.

I am seeking help on any steps / measures I might need to take when performing the installation, as any previous experiences with installing graphics cards have been on freshly-built systems. My main concern arises with the fact that I am switching GPU manufacturers.
