Thanks for the advice. I hadn't checked them so I'll have to say that makes yours, "my best answer received".

The challenge is now the drive is clicking so bad it sounds like the soundtrack from a bad 60's beatnik movie.

The clicking stops after 3 minutes (drive stops rotating). At all times the message of doom never leaves the screen "Operating system not found".
