I just bought a Samsung lcd 46" 60hz. I hooked up a Oppo dvd player using a dvi to hdmi cable. I now get this ghosting or tracing. Not sure what the tech term is for it. Sometimes it goes in and out. I've seen it on another Samsung a frieind of mine has. Is it the TV or dvd player? What can I do?

you mean no ghosting on your friends tv ? does he have the same model ? do you get it while watching fast moving video like racing/soccer on tv channels ?

No he has the same problem on his TV, I think his model is the same just bigger. Actually I put on about 3 different movies tonight and wasn't getting the problem. Weird. On another note I have to run about 40 feet of speaker wire for my surround sound. My question is do I need some heavier gauge wire, or can I use the stock wire and splice it together. It' a pretty old setup Panasonic, and I ran optical cables to my dvd and tv. Thanks.

good news about the other movies playing well . u can use the stock wire but splice it well and press it well together with something , there should be no gaps anywhere from the start to end , use tape where needed .
