Cpu Temp or Core(s) temp?

Which one should i pay more attention to and which one should i use to compare data? Also, if you could include 2500k normal temps for both, it'd be helpful :)

My temps idling on the web. I5-2500K@4.2GHz. I suppose those are fairly average.
Use the package temp. I don't game hardcore and my temps rarely exceed 55C.
