GPU green dots while gaming and instability?

Ive been getting some instability in my GPU lately green dots while running Borderlands on full widescreen totally fine when not full screen and crashes after about 3 minutes when running Mass Effect on high res. all other games seem to be fine on full screen. Im Thinking the rig is underpowered? Im fairly new to PC building so please go easy on me.
y PC specs are as follows
i7 920 oc @ 3.6
noctua uh 12p heatsink
asus p6tv2
Patriot 6GB viper 1600
2 WD 500GB HD 7200
1 WD 1TB HD 7200
2 WD external 1TB HD
asus EAH 4890 GPU
corsair TX750W PSU
5 stock fans

Not underpowered, that 750tx should be good for 2 4890s. You have the latest drivers? Also you check GPU temps?
