DX58SO USB issues

I'm using the Intel DX58SO motherboard and am having the following issue:

Every once in a while, alllll of my USB devices stop working. This includes my:

Logitech Illuminated Keyboard
3D Conexion space mouse
Xbox 360 controller
Microsoft Lifecam Cinema HD

The blue led that denotes the space mouse is receiving power, turns off.

The LEDs on the keyboard turn off and no input is accepted

Mouse no longer moves cursor

XBOX controller light is out

The only thing I can do at that point is turn the computer off. What is going on??

ocz platinum ddr3 6 GB
core i7 920 at 3.2 GHz
samsung spinpoint f3 500 GB
