My camera memory card is locked

Hello,
I have a 2GB SD that does not pick up at all on my computer or laptop. I put it in the camera and it says card error/card locked! Is there any way of recovering this????? PLEASE HELP

There should be a slider on the SD card that you can move. You have to move (what is usually a little white tab) to its alternate position.
