Hi Guys Im new to the overclocking world.

I want to Buy.

MotherBoard: Asus p6t Deluxe v2
CPU: I7 930
Memory: G.SKILL PI Series 6GB Model F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI
CPU Cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems rev. b
GPU: ATI 5850 or 5870

My only concern is that im not sure if the Megahalems will give me enough clearance for my DDR3 memory, the memory comes with a big heatsink. i have been reading some ppl saying that they are having issues with big memory heatsinks and some aftermarket coolers.

im hoping someone has the same memory kit and cooler and give me an answer.

Yes you will have a problem if you use the three channels closest to the cpu if you use a fan to blow air at it with a 25mm thickness. You should use the RED slots instead. This way you'll have just enough clearance (they'll be almost touching).
I have the same setup but with a different mobo which only has three memory slots, so i'm using the fan to suck air out of the megahalem instead of blowing air at it.
Does a good job too, temps are at idle 39C and never go over 49C at full load with a 920 D0 (room temp is about 27C).
Good choice for the mem.

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Yeah, the G.Skill PI series are a little high for the cooler. U can go with this Crucial 1600 at the same price without problems.

P.D. I would go with the P6X58D Premium that is better and more new.
