Hello,
My name is Josh and I am a first time overclocker. I just bought ASUS 7970 Vid Card, OCZ Vertex 3 120GB, Intel Core i7-3960X 3.3 1 LGA 2011 Processor, Cooler Master Storm Enforcer USB 3.0 Mid Tower ATX Case , LG WH12LS38K 12X Internal SATA Blu-Ray/DVD Burner, Corsair 16 GB (4 x 4 GB) DDR3 2133 MHz (PC3 17000) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM Quad Channel Memory, ASUS Rampage IV Extreme Mobo, Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB , Corsair Hydro Series H100, Corsair HX Professional Series 850-Watt Power Supply and was wondering how to get the CPU to at least 4.5 to 4.7ghz and the memory to run at 2133mhz quad channel. I do not know how to change all the voltages and what nots. If there is anyone out there that can help me, throw me a bone and help out a noob. Thank you so much.

follow the tutorials on this forum in the overclocking section.

as a general rule go slow and test often, also watch your temps. With that CPU most people are achiving 4.6GHz at around 1.4v max. Every chip is different so, raise the multiplier slowly and increase voltage as needed.

You can also OC using the front side bus but if your new at this I wouldn't recommend that until your more comfortable.
