Hello, I have several NAS devices on my network and I'd like to determine which ones have the best performance when playing media files. They are all different manufacturers and models. Is there an easy to use tool for the Windows platform? Thanx!

Performance really isn't an issue for playing media files. Even an HD video at 1080P resolution with lossless audio only requires a transfer rate of around a few MB/sec, which is trivial for any modern NAS.
Thanx, but I'd still like to know which of these units takes less time to copy the video files to. I suppose I could write a batch file, but thought there might be some easy tool.
Well, the dead-simple way to do it would be to do a drag-and-drop with Windows Explorer and see what its progress dialogue reports in terms of the transfer rate.
