I am looking to get a AMD motherboard for a build I'm working on. I have been looking at Gigabyte, ASUS, and MSI. Right now my higher end board to buy would be the GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P and my low end board would be the GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P. ASUS and MSI have fairly equivalent boards, but I am leaning towards Gigabyte at this point. I am not going to do a whole lot of overclocking, but I do want something that is capable of doing so if the need arises. I do play games from time to time. I am just looking to find a quality board that will fit my needs; any thoughts?

The deciding factor is whether you plan on crossfiring at some point? It doesn't sound like you are so I'd go for the UD3P with one PCI-e x16 slot

You are correct I do not foresee that happening. I shied away from the UD3P because of the stock cooling for the SB and the VRM. I could remedy the VRM cooling issue by just purchasing a heatsink for it.
