Hcl me laptop how to enter into bios

Hello,
i am using HCL ME laptop. i have installed ubuntu 11.10 on laptop. when i press enter on ubuntu at dual boot option, it taks too long to install ubuntu and laptop halts. Is there any type of setting in bios to run ubuntu?

If you've already used the GRUB bootloader to edit the dualboot XP & Ubuntu correctly, the next step would be to check Ubuntu for drivers in need of update. AFAIK no BIOS has an option to boot Ubuntu so I'm quite sure the issue is not there, it's probably either in the bootloader, or some Ubuntu driver/s need to be updated.
