Sapphire Radeon X1650 Driver Update

I have the X1650 512mb card. The only Drivers I can get to work with the card are the ones on the product disk. I have owned ATI cards for a few years, and am familiar with removing and installing new drivers. The version that came with the card is 7.7

When I install an updated driver, 3d programs wont load. All I can do is use the desktop, firefox etc...

I think it might have something to do with the disk also installing .net framework or something but I have experimented and had no luck. Thanks for any ideas on updating the drivers I'll check back soon.

What error message appears when you try to load 3D games, if any?

i have x1650 and i do not see any error like yours..
