Hello,

Is it better to have more physical ram (say-768MB @ 600Hz) or more speed (say-512Mb @ 1066Hz)?

More about : physical ram speed

If you have less than 1GB of RAM then you certainly want quantity over speed. If your system doesn't have enough RAM to prevent the system paging to the hard drive, your system will crawl at a snails pace no matter how fast the RAM is.

Thanks my friends, Great answer. That was my feeling exactly. I have a server with RDRAM for my home media. RDRAM = $$$$$ I have an additional 512 Mb of ram witch will bring the speed of the faster ram down to the slower ram. Thanks again....
