i want 2 knw if the XFX 9600 standard (not d alpha dog ver :o ) will run without any Power supply problems..9600 standard version does not have a 6 pin requirement does it..i have a micro atx board and desktop case..will it fit..or should i get GT 220..i have a 250 watt seasonic PSU..on which it is listed that it supplies 16 A at 12 V while 18 A is the minimum power requirement for 9600 standard ver..

i had ran a XFX 9400 GT which has a 350W requirement for some time, so maybe GT220 which has the same 350W requirement will run without prob as well..
if i look for a new PSU they have a requirement of a ATX so i think they wont fit or just are not compatible that's why i staying away 4rm them..

Since It's a seasonic so I will say you can use it...
OR
You can get an energy efficient version of 9600GT.
Or get a HD 4670 which will run well on your PSU.

You have basically answered your own questions.

You can check the Amperage requirements and measure your case to see what will fit.

You may wish to replace your power supply.

Don't buy GT220 at any cost.

If you think 9600GT will stress your PSU then buy HD 4670.
Its a very good card and doesn't require lot of power.
You can search for benchmarks on net.

BTW What resolution you play at?
