How to remove read only from a cd

Hello,
I wish to remove "read only " from cd so that I may transfer the files to my doc and sent by e-mail.

CD's are read only. You need a CD-RW (rewritable) in order for it to not be read only. Also, read only shouldn't prevent you from copying the files off the CD. Just copy the files to my documents, then attach them in an email.
