Hello,

I've upgraded recently to Windows 7 64 bit, wondering if this memory will work with my system:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The mobo is ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=n82e168...

The CPU is AMD Phenom Quad Core 9950: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thanks!

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

U can see here your mobo's specifications. Support DDR2 800/667/533, in 4 slots with 2GB max per slot for a total of 8GB.

Why do you need 8GB?

As an advice, that RAM is good, but the voltage is high. If I were you, I would go for one of this:

1- G.Skill 8GB (4x2GB) same performance, less voltage and less price.
2- Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4GB (2x2GB), same performance, less price. U can buy two of this if U really need the 8GB. Currently I have one kit of this and are awesome.

Yes they are good choices as well,i prefer lower timings though, but that's my idea, some prefer higher speeds

Why is lower voltage better?

Because some mobos have problems with RAM with voltage >2.0V, and with a high voltage u have less possibility to OC the RAM.

That's right ^
Also a RAM with lower voltage runs cooler too
