Dual Monitors in XP

Hello,
I am new to the forums, so if this is on the wrong spot, please let me know and I will attempt to get it moved.

The problem I am trying to solve is that I recently purchased a second monitor, and was hoping to use the second monitor is either an extended horizontal span, or a dual-view. Either way, the only way i was trying NOT to use them is clone view, and this seems to be the only option available to me through the Nvidia control panel. I have tried right clicking on desktop, but there is no multiple monitor setting, and again the Nvidia control panel only offers clone as the multi-monitor view (it also offers single display).

I am running an Nvidia Geforce GTX260 with the latest driver version 191.07, one monitor is a Samsung 226BW on a DVI connection, and the other monitor is an Acer H213HC monitor running HDMI (DVI to HDMI connector at the card). Windows XP Home 32-bit(I am not sure of the service pack to be honest, but lets assume SP3 since my college network enforces the latest service packs are required).
