I am looking to up grade my video card on my Gateway note book. I want a video card with an svideo port. My note book is a model MX6441. It has a round knock out on the left side (the dvd side) It is currently running an ATI card with only a VGA Port. I need a couple of suggestions I am a doit yourselfer.

You won't be able to upgrade your laptop video chip.
But you can get yourself a VGA to S-video adapter.

It is very rare that you can actually change the video card on a laptop. First, laptops are not made to have their cards changed, they are not necessarily made in a standard way. Because of that, the next problem is you cannot buy upgrade parts. So, long story short, it is virtually impossible. That is why I stick with desktops for my serious tasks.
