Hi there!

I'm building a new pc around Christmas, because of the price drops, and I wanted to know your opinion about it:

CPU: Phenom II X3 720
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA78G-UD3H
RAM: OCZ DDR2 Gold Edition 800 MHz 4Gb
HD: Western Digital 500Gb, 32Mb buffer, 7200 RPM
DVD/RW: Samsung SH-S223F 22x Dual Layer Sata
PSU: Nox Urano 700 Watt
Graphics: ATI HD5850
Sound Card: Asus Xonar D1 7.1
Case: NZXT Gamma + 3 120mm fans

In current prices it will be 734.35 € without O.S.
1091.73 $ (Wow! dollar is very cheap!)

What you guys think of it?

I cant find much on that Nox Urano PSU; it doesnt look like a top quality power supply. Corsair, Seasonic or Antec would be a safer choice.

I have no idea if that sound card is better than the motherboard sound or not.

WD has several models of HDD. Blue is cheap, Green is power efficient, Black is performance.

ASUS Xonar is pretty good. I would have to say, it's much better than your typical Realtek onboard sound.

I would also recommend getting an AM3 Motherboard and DDR3 ram to utilize the full power of that Phenom II X3. Hopefully by then, the price for the Phenom II X4 would have dropped too and you can get on of those instead.
