Which would be better:

Or would I be better off spending a bit more money for something a bit better. I don't know all that much about overclocking but it seems now like that gigabyte offers a bit more but I'm not sure. Any help would be awsome.

UEFI w/ EZ mode, Lucid Virtu, USB 3.0, ISRT, HDMI ASUS P8Z68-V LX ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

BIOSTAR TZ68K+ ATX Intel Motherboard 8 Phase, PCI-Ex16 Gen 3.0 Ready BIOSTAR TZ68K+ ATX Intel Motherboard

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX Intel Motherboard HardwareMX Editor's Chioce Award ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX Intel Motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 ATX Intel Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 ATX Intel Motherboard

BIOSTAR TZ68A+RCH ATX Intel Motherboard Gen3 ready, CrossfireX, Remote control, HDMI cable BIOSTAR TZ68A+RCH ATX Intel Motherboard

These seem to be all the differant boards in the price range I'm looking at. What are the preferences from an overclocking perspective. I see ovrall the asrock is the most popular on new egg which leads me to believe its best. Any opinions.

My answer is based upon my experienced using one of the MB you mentioned: BIOSTAR TZ68A+RCH
I'm using this board since Dec. last year 2011, I buit my self using i5 2500K overclocked at 4.7 GHZ this board did not give any problems, it fired up the first time I switched on. It is easy to overclock and very stable, I run Prime95 for 8hrs with core temp not more than 63 deg celsius. and at idle temps 34-38 deg celsius. I used cooler master hyper 212 plus CPU cooler. I give you a link on how to overclock this MB and its specifications:

Read carefully because although this board is not as popular as the other boards you mentioned, for functionality and performance with a great bargain price. I absolutely recommend this board.

This are videos that I made about this Motherboard:

Another thing, this MB comes with a remote control which can be use to turn on the PC and to control the Windows Media Player while watching videos and while listening music.

The cheapest price I've seen is in Micro Center look at this link:
