I plan to build a Z68 system with Widows 7 installed on the 128GB SSD and a HDD for programs.

Can I or should I activate the Smart Response Technology.

Sould I set the BIOS to Raid or AHCI

Better to use the SSD for OS and favorite applications. Then use HHD for everything else, music, pics, videos and other less frequent used applications.

No, your system will be much faster without using Intel SRT.
Install your operating system and most used applications/games on the SSD, everything else goes on the mechanical drive.

For best performance and to ensure TRIM works properly, you should set AHCI in the BIOS.
