Hello everyone,

New to the forums and new to SSDs.

Did a fresh install of Windows 7, AHCI is set in BIOS, followed the Toms Hardware guide for setting up SSD. Updated to 0009 firmware. CrystalDiskInfo says TRIM is enabled. All updates have been applied (at least I think I did them all ha).

I have seen comparable results in the Seq/4k but the 4k-64 seems a quite slower than others. Also my other big question is what driver should I use. In this I used amd_sata, but I was using msahci as well. I don't know the performance difference, but the amd_sata drivers make my SSD and HDD show up as removable devices (hot-swappable) and annoys me haha. The msahci had a registry tweak to treat them as internal. Thoughts?

System:
AMD Phenom II 940 @ 3.5ghz (1.4v)
4GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 (2.1v)
MSI K9A2 Platinum 790FX/SB600 Mobo
AMD 5850
128gb Crucial m4
640GB WD HDD
650W Corsair PSU
